lotto

Last night I had the same recurring dream I have had for 12 years (my working adult life) about winning the lottery.  It usually goes like this...

I win the lottery.  I am estactic, you can see this right?  I imagine and plan what I'm going to do with the money - lavish vacations (Hawaii, Egypt, Mexico, Korea, Mars), cars (Hummer - yeah I said it, Maserati, Camaro), homes (summer home, winter home, vacation home...), shopping (Paris, Rodeo, New York...here I come!!), donations (spend a little, give a little)... then I wake up.  And realize that in real life I haven't hit it big (yet).

I have been religiously buying lotto tickets.  Don't worry I don't go overboard, I limit myself to one lottery ticket a week.  My husband thinks it's silly, but occassionally I will win.  Last week I won $10!!  This will pay for lotto tickets for 10 weeks!!  In the back of my mine I think, if I keep buying, one day I will win.  It's a vicious cycle.  But for this small fantasy I am willing to splurge $1 a week.

Happy Friday!

Now that I live in Oregon every day is a casual day.  My personal rebellion?  Dress up Fridays: skirts, heels, a little skin.  Also now that B hooked me up with tons of Urban Decay - I'm obligated to paint my pretty mug every morning.  Don't worry - I'm not complaining :)  I'm just starting to remember that I like to dress up.

Rant of the day?  City of Beaverton residents are up in arms over the city spending 5K of city funds for a Mexican Independence Day celebration over the weekend.  The argument they make is that the City does not do anything for the United States Independence Day, but now they are spending tax dollars on, of all things, a Mexican Holiday!  I wonder, would this even be an issue if it was a St. Patrick's Day celebration?  Just wondering.  Psst... should I even mention that we live just North of occupied Mexico?

Well at least this is a 3 day weekend :)  Hubby and I plan to go to Machete.  And don't expect any more postings until next week... "Machete dont text"

first entry

Starting a blog out sounds so important.  Who knew it would practically set itself up?  I'm not sure if I started this for narcissitic reasons or if I have anything relevant to share with folks.  I guess we will find out...
Stay tuned ;-)
